Hi, my name is Stefan Wentink. I’m passionate about building digital products that help people in their day-to-day work and create value for businesses. In my current role, I work at the intersection of product design, discovery and ownership, with a strong focus on customer journeys rather than isolated features.
I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering, with a specialization in Digital Product Management and additional coursework in Business & IT. My background allows me to combine engineering, marketing and design, experiment early, validate ideas and make well-informed decisions before moving into delivery.
The Dutch mobility insurance market is going through a transformation and Bovemij is responding to this in various ways. In my role as Product Designer/Owner, I focus on designing and delivering solutions and products that are well suited to the changing needs of customers within in the mobility sector.
This role includes the following tasks: design and development of new digital products, websites and customer portals, improving customer journeys, introduction and implementation of new technologies (i.e chat and e-wallet), user research and analysis, market research, process optimisation, digitalisation and process automation.
I have completed my Master’s assignment at the Innovation Team at Nedap Livestock Management. This team focuses on exploring new technologies and potential markets resulting in valuable insights that steer the development of new products. The approach was both analytical and hands-on, building and testing many prototypes to achieve quick insights. We failed fast, but learned even faster.
My individual master’s assignment regarded the exploration and development of various Augmented Reality (AR) solutions in the Farming Landscape. Furthermore, I contributed to the development of new propositions that used vision technology on the farm.
During the covid crisis, I founded Musthave Webdesign. As a freelancer, I build websites that help clients solve their business problems and unlock growth. I manage the entire process, from defining the initial problem statement, creating a coherent strategy, to the launch or redesign of their website. I focused mostly on SMEs, as well as self-employed individuals.
Through my experience in starting a business and attracting and managing clients, I have gained very valuable lessons in marketing, sales, as well as entrepreneurship, which I am very proud of.
Some of the websites I have build include:
Right after finishing my bachelor’s degree, I opted for a voluntary internship. The Dutch mobility startup Brekr offered the perfect possibility to extend my experience. Through this internship, I experienced all the fun and hassles of being part of a startup. The flexibility and diversity of daily challenges are what taught me the most.
I have worked alongside both the technical as well as the commercial team, this combination made this internship very valuable for me. My individual assignment included the development of the sound module of the (usually silent and electric) Brekr Model B, ensuring fun and safety while driving.
After my internship I stayed at Brekr, as an ambassador of the Brekr brand and products. I mainly contribute to large events and fairs but I also facilitate sales through test-rides both at the headquarters and at home.
During four years at Landal I was responsible for the management and maintenance of all technical facilities at the holiday resort. My day-to-day tasks involved problem solving at our park houses, the headquarters, the spa and swimming pools. Focusing on delivering quality and the best experience for our guests.
